Dana Marie Krista

January 5, 1975 - July 28, 2025

Dana Marie Krista, a woman who touched the hearts of those around her, passed away surrounded by family on July 28, 2025, in her hometown of Dayton, Ohio, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was 50 years old.

Born on January 5, 1975, in Dayton, Ohio, Dana found joy in life's simple moments and the deep bonds of family. Dana was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and daughter, who always put her loved ones first. Dana cherished outdoor adventures with her family. She enjoyed hiking, kayaking, and boating on her father's boat. Her love for her pets and lively family gatherings, filled with laughter, stories, and traditional Hungarian dishes reflected her lively personality and heritage.

Dana had a playful side and a great sense of humor. She especially enjoyed holidays, and treasured life's small joys, including her love for pickles. But above everything else, she cherished her family. She never missed a birthday or gathering, always made people laugh, and was happiest when surrounded by her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Madison Krista; her grandchildren, Jaedyn (15, whom she helped raise with love), Elijah (11), Willow (9), and Hadley (7); her mother, Patricia Ann Krista; her brothers, Mark (wife Carla) and Matthew Krista; her nephew, Ian Krista; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Dana also leaves behind her friend Mari, who provided compassionate support during her illness.

Dana was predeceased by her father, John Anthony Krista, who passed away on August 7, 2021.

Dana's memory will live on through the love she shared and the strength she showed. Her family and friends will deeply miss her.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date, which will be announced soon.

May She Rest In Peace.

Services and great care are entrusted to Schlientz & Moore Funeral Home.
