Dana Schappell

Dana Clark Schappell, 66, of Dundalk Maryland passed away on July 11th, 2025, at home. Born on October 13th, 1958, in Dundalk, Dana was a loving father, husband, and grandfather whose humor and unwavering love for his family touched the lives of all he knew. Dana grew up in Dundalk becoming an ironworker and then ultimately a construction inspector. His career as an inspector spanned decades where he continued to learn and improve himself by constantly earning new certifications. Dana was passionate about weightlifting, handy work, golf, Washington Capitals hockey, and held the utmost pride for his vegetable garden. Above all, was his pride in his three children and their families, leaving an impression forever. He is survived by his wife, Melissa, his three children: Christina, Bryan (Aimee), and Austin (Aileen), and his four grandchildren: Gavyn, Bryn, Taylor, and Sloane. He will be remembered for his stellar head of hair and most importantly, for his unconditional love of his family. The family will receive friends at the family-owned Duda-Ruck Funeral Home of Dundalk Inc. 7922 Wise Ave. on Thursday from 5PM to 8PM where a funeral service will also be held on Thursday at 7PM. Service followed by cremation.
