Chaz Ryan Schappell

Chaz Ryan Schappell, 36, passed away on July 20, 2025. A proud Colorado native with an adventurous spirit, Chaz grew up in Broomfield and attended Broomfield High School, where he first cultivated his lifelong passion for music and creativity.
Chaz was a gifted musician, playing both the trombone and bass guitar. His deep love for sound and performance led him to pursue audio event production and lighting, ultimately founding Elemental Productions LLC in March 2012. Through his leadership, Chaz coordinated countless events, uniting artists sponsors, and communities with a shared appreciation for music and celebration. His work brought joy to many and reflected his boundless energy, vision, and dedication to uplifting those around him.
In his later years, Chaz made his home in Grants Pass, Oregon, where he and his partner, Lynsey Stone, welcomed their beloved daughter, Harmony Rebyl-the light of his life.
Chaz is lovingly remembered by his mother, Tambi Gilmore; father, Bryan Schappell and stepmother, Angie; brother, Hayden Schappell and family; stepsiblings, Kyra and Zane Zuhlke; grandparents, Ronald and Sandra Gilmore and Margo Schappell. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Roger Schappell. Chaz leaves behind a large circle of extended family, friends, and colleagues who will forever cherish his memory.
A Memorial Service to honor Chaz's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 1, 2025, at Viegut Funeral Home, 1616 North Lincoln Avenue, Loveland, Colorado. A reception will be held following the service at Viegut Reception Center.
