Sean Douglas van de Kamp
March 26, 1994 - February 19, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Sean Douglas van de Kamp, who left this world far too soon on February 19, 2026, at the age of 31. Born on March 27, 1994, at Avista Hospital in
Louisville, Colorado, Sean was a cherished son, brother, grandson, and friend.
Sean was born to loving parents, Douglas and Jennifer van de Kamp and grew up in a home filled with warmth and laughter. From a young age, he showed an inquisitive nature that was evident in his desire to understand how things worked. Despite being introverted and sensitive, Sean possessed a great sense of humor that endeared him to his family.
Sean attended Broomfield High School, where he played French horn, mellophone, and percussion in both symphonic and marching bands. He studied mechanical engineering and computer science at Colorado State University in Fort Collins but decided to change focus and went on to earn a certification in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning from Front Range Community College.
Sean found joy in skiing, camping, rafting, hiking, bowling, and playing disc golf with his family. As a child, he greatly anticipated "cousin camp" each summer at the beach with his grandparents. He also enjoyed exploring virtual skies through his favorite video game, Flight Simulator. These activities brought him closer to those he loved, creating cherished memories that will endure in the hearts of his family and friends.
Sean was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, William and Jacquelyn van de Kamp, his maternal grandfather, Garrett Allison, and his furry friend, Mojo. He is remembered and survived by his devoted parents, Douglas and Jennifer, his beloved sister, Kristy van de Kamp, and his caring maternal grandmother, Sydney Allison.
Sean's departure leaves a void that can never be filled. His family and friends will forever cherish the moments shared with him. As we mourn his passing, we also celebrate the beautiful life he led, filled with laughter, kindness, and an unyielding curiosity for the world.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, March 30, 2026, from 3:00 – 5:00 pm at 1241 Poplar Way,
Broomfield, CO, where family and friends will gather to share stories and celebrate the incredible person he was. In lieu of flowers, Sean's family kindly requests donations to be made in his memory to a non-profit organization of your choice that offers support, treatment, and resources for alcohol addiction and mental health.
Rest in peace, dear Sean. You will be missed beyond measure but remembered with love forevermore.
