West Brookfield - Dana B. Searah, 66, of West Brookfield, died unexpectedly on Monday, October 27, 2025.
He leaves behind his wife, Pamela (Vezina), of 42 years; his brothers, David Searah (Sue) of Boscawen, NH, Lindsay Searah of North Brookfield, Mark Searah (Kathleen) of New Braintree, Edward Searah (Sue) of Brimfield; his sisters, Constance Hollenbeck of Cape Coral, FL, Bernadette Beland of Worcester, Deborah Pyle (John) of Woodstock, CT, Frances Searah of North Brookfield, and Gayle LeDoux (Mark) of Greenville, TN; his mother-in-law, Mercedes Vezina; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael Vezina (Linda), Denise Vezina, Jeffrey (Tina) Vezina, Jason (Tina) Vezina, and Aimee Venturini, along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Andrea Paladino, and Karen (Ellie) Rambin, and his brother, Norman. He was born in Ware, son of the late Rose M. (Busby) Searah and Andrew J. Searah.
Dana also has an extended family from New York, James (Crystal) Ringwald, and their children, Jennifer (Tory), Jessie (Bree), and Jillian and all their children. Dana spent many summers camping and visiting with them.
He graduated from Boys Trade in Worcester and went on to be a machinist for over 40 years. He worked at Wyman Gordon, Norton Abrasives, and he retired from Boniface Tool & Die.
Dana enjoyed using his tractors, camping, going on cruises and riding his motorcycle. He also had a great love for chocolate labs – and although three others came before, he devoted all his time to his most recent one, Harlee.
He served for 35 years as a Volunteer Fire Fighter and had recently retired from the West Brookfield Fire Department where he enjoyed being a member.
Calling Hours for Dana will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 9:30AM to 12:30PM in the Varnum Funeral Home, 43 E. Main Street in West Brookfield. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home immediately following calling hours. Burial will be held at a later date.
