Dane was born on June 5, 1973, in North Platte, Nebraska, to Rex Christensen and Rae Ann Nida Christensen. He grew up in Keystone and attended Ogallala High School, where he graduated in 1992. During his high school years, he was an avid athlete, participating in both football, wrestling, and trap shooting. His dedication and talent on the football field earned him the Trench Trophy his senior year for his outstanding performance as a defensive lineman.
Following high school, Dane pursued his education at Southeast Community College in Milford, Nebraska, where he earned a degree in building construction. Over the years, he worked in various fields, including building construction, truck driving, and as a mail courier, always demonstrating a strong work ethic and a commitment to his craft.
In 1998, Dane married Leaghia Tinnon, gaining three children, Kristian, Austin, and Luke. Together, they welcomed one child, McKenna. Although Dane and Leaghia later divorced, their bond remained unbreakable. They were soul mates and best friends, sharing a love for travel and adventure. Their enduring partnership led them to establish a tree removal business together, a testament to their mutual respect and teamwork.
Dane had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed camping, boating, and fishing, creating many cherished memories with family and friends. He was devoted Husker Football fan and a talented woodworker.
His passion for wrestling continued as he was also a timer at the state wrestling tournament in Omaha for several years which he thoroughly enjoyed.
Dane will be remembered for his kindness, unwavering dedication to his family and friends, and his adventurous spirit. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, love, and cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
