Dr. Daniel G. Abdo, age 87, passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday, April 17, 2025. Daniel was the youngest son of the late George S. Abdo Sr. and Rose (Abodeely) Abdo of Salem, MA.

Daniel will be lovingly missed and remembered by his Brother-in-law Thomas Haddad, his Nieces Linda Salem Pervier and her husband Michael, Donna Karapatsas, Lisa Dunham and her husband David, his nephew John Haddad and his wife Susan, 9 Great-nieces and nephews, 7 Great-Great-nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his sisters Doris (Abdo) Salem a professional paint artist and her husband James, Vina (Abdo) Haddad an RN, middle eastern dancer and instructor, Brother George S. Abdo Jr., a middle eastern singer and entertainer, Nephews James Salem, and Steven Karapatsas. Daniel was also predeceased by his pet cat Chiro.

Daniel was close to his first cousins Thelma Ball, George Abodeely and Francis Abodeely.

Born in Salem, MA, Daniel later moved to Worcester, MA in 1965 after honorably serving 4 years in the US Army Security Agency. Daniel was a Doctor of Chiropractic for 45 years graduating from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. Prior to that, Daniel owned and operated a music store on Chandler Street in Worcester, MA. He was an accomplished professional drummer. He played at countless events in his career. In his early years, Daniel was a professional photographer. He learned photography from his father George, taking photos of countless weddings.

During his life, Daniel enjoyed family gatherings, card games and going to the casinos.

Daniel’s family would like to share the gratitude that Daniel had for his close friends, tenants and caretakers during his later years for their friendship and support.

At the request of the deceased, services will be private.
