Daniel Albritten, son of the late Theodis Albritten, Sr. and Bernice Porter Albritten, was born in Dawson, Georgia on September 9, 1960.
He received his formal education in the Terrell County School System. Throughout school, Rufus was a very inquisitive, zealous student who garnered much from his educational experiences. He continued his education at Fort Valley State University where he earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration.
From a very early age, Daniel was nurtured in the Word of God. As a youth, he accepted Christ and united with the Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church of Herod, Georgia. He was a faithful servant for many years and remained prayerful and humble throughout life's journey.
Known for his professionalism, dedication, and vibrant personality, Daniel was a well-established figure in the automotive industry. Throughout his career at Tanner Dean Motors and Five Star Nissan, he was recognized and respected as a top salesman; achieved an average of 120% of sales goals for five consecutive years; and was named "Salesman of the Year" for three years at Tanner Dean. His abundant knowledge of the art of selling immensely impacted many, many car buyers. Daniel was also employed at Proctor & Gamble where he poured himself into his work, never shied away from a challenge, and took great pride in a job well done.
Daniel was a loving and devoted father, brother, uncle, cousins, and friend who had a zest for life that was very contagious. The joy of his life was spending time with family and friends who often referred to him as a peace maker, a man of joy and laughter, and a good-hearted friend that everyone could rely on. He was a caring individual with a big heart-he loved the Lord, he loved his family, he loved his friends, and he loved his community. The strong bond of friendship that he developed throughout his life will forever be cherished and remembered.
On September 20, 2024, Daniel transitioned from this earthly life to etermal peace and rest. Although his departure leaves a void, we rejoice in knowing that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Lamar, Theodis, Lawrence, and his twin David.
Cherished memories will forever remain with his children, Kevin Thomas, Qyneisha Thomas, Dontravius Thomas, Demetrius Thomas, and Shanise (Joshua) McCray; six siblings, Laura Albritten, Juanita Albritten, Josephus Albritten,Bobby (Patsy) Albritten, Marion Albritten, and Myron (Diana) Albritten; his aunt, Juanita Epps; fourteen grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
