Obituary For Daniel Armstead II
Daniel Armstead II, born on June 26, 1973, in Canton OH, to the union of Elder Daniel I & Carmilla Armstead. Daniel, also known as Danny Boy, during his youth was a member of Pentecostal Temple COGIC under the leadership Pastor Superintendent Lee Nucklos, later became a member of God Given COGIC under the leadership of Pastor James Oneal and finished out his days being a member of Unity Life Fellowship COGIC under the leadership of Pastor Superintendent Walter Bernard Williams.
Daniel was a proud graduate of Timken Senior High School, Class of 1992 where he was a five-star athletic quarterback. He was a state-license barber, graduating from Akron Barber School of Akron OH. He enjoyed cutting his dad's hair.
Daniel's greatest joys included his comedic humor as he kept everyone laughing, adventurous getaways including road trips, sightseeing, as well as riding roller coasters, playing chess, fishing, boating, swimming, and enjoying delectable home cooked meals. His favorite foods include his mom's potato salad and his fiancé's spaghetti.
Daniel was engaged to his high school sweetheart Jacquelyn Walton with whom he shared his oldest two sons. Unfortunately departing, they later rekindled their romance 27 years later. He was a man who grasped crowds with his bright smile, funny jokes, good looks, and athletic stature. He was a man of strength and dignity.
Daniel is survived by his loving Mother Mrs. Carmilla Armstead; his loving Fiancé: Jacquelyn Walton, his children Daniel Armstead III (Tiffany Todd), DeShawndre' Armstead (Destiny Spencer), Tiana Billings, DiAzhane' Walton (Jalon Daniels), PV2 Satorie (AF1 Kyle) Jenkins, and Dominic Leon, two granddaughters Shaniyla Flowers and Zhaniyla Brown.
Daniel is also survived by his three Brothers Keevin D. Armstead of West Virginia, Alonzo L. (Naomi Brownlee) Armstead of Michigan, and Arene' S. Armstead of Canton, two special cousins Eugene Patterson and Robyn Chambers, godsister & cousin Takeitha S. Jones and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Daniel is preceded in death by his father Elder Daniel Armstead I, his paternal grandparents David Sr. & Susie Lee Armstead; maternal grandparents James & Edna Lewis; paternal uncles David Jr. and Allen Armstead; maternal uncles James Bruce, Jeffery, & Cedric Lewis, and maternal aunt Nancy Lewis.
Celebration of Life Services will be held to honor and celebrate Daniel's life on Saturday June 8, 2024, at 11:00 am at God Given Church COGIC, 1027 Ninth street NE in Canton. Elder Kenneth K. Hill will officiate, while Daniel's brother Minister Alonzo Armstead will render the eulogy. Prior to the service, a public viewing and family visitation will take place from 9:30 am-11:00 am.
Daniel will be ultimately laid to rest with a committal service and interment on Monday June 10, 2024 at 2:30pm at the Forest Hill Cemetery, 4414 Cleveland Ave NW, in Canton OH.
