Dora Cass

Dora D. Cass, a beloved mother, grandmother and cherished resident of Windsor House at Omni Manor in Youngstown, OH passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 28, 2026.

Born on November 25, 1936, in Clarksburg, West Virginia, to the late Dewey and Hazel Davis. She lived a life defined by devotion to her family, quiet strength and enduring kindness.

She was employed for much of her life as a caretaker, a role that reflected her naturally kind and giving spirit. Dora was known to be quick-witted, playful and kind-hearted. She was known as "the puzzle lady" as she worked on many jigsaw puzzles at Omni Manor where she received exceptional care for nearly 12 years.

In addition to her parents Dora was preceded in death by her 4 brothers, 3 sisters and a son John DeSantis.

She is survived by her son, Fred DeSantis of Vienna and daughter, Robyn Cass of Lima. She is also survived by her three grandchildren Kristi DeSantis, Marla (Nick) Bryner, Julie (Jermaine) Crenshaw as well as 9 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

There will be no services at this time and a celebration of life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Windsor House Omni Manor or Akeso Hospice.
