Melanie C. Rice

BUCKEYE, ARIZONA – Melanie C. Rice, age 55, formerly of Warren, Ohio, entered into eternal rest Saturday, January 17, 2026, at the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, Arizona. She was born August 8, 1970, in Warren, the daughter of Joann Booker-Cole and Walter Pete Rodgers, and was raised by her grandparents, Emma Booker and Wilbur Wright.

Melanie was a graduate of Warren Western Reserve High School and earned a bachelor's degree from Chamberlain University. An adventurous soul, Melanie moved her family to Arizona 18 years ago and built a career in the health care field, working as a Manager of Case Management at Abrazo Health. She was a dedicated Nurse who loved her family. She enjoyed traveling, painting, butterflies, and watching movies.

Precious memories of Melanie live on with her five children: Torrien Booker, Shateara Booker (Gibran Aguilar), Maliyah Davis, Marcal Rice, and Justice Rice, all of Buckeye; four grandchildren: Caiden Booker, Julian Spence, Jahcial Rice, and Aurora Rice, all of Buckeye; her sister, Talinda Cole of Warren; two brothers, Douglas and Jonah Cole, both of Warren; two aunts, Linda McIver of Warren and Dora McBride of Akron, Her special Cousin Micheal Callahan of Indianapolis and her uncle, Wilbert Booker of Warren.

Her parents and grandparents precede her in death.

Calling hours are 10:00 to 11:00 am Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, where services will begin at 11:00 am Tuesday, with Minister Julian Walker officiating. All who know and love Melanie are welcome to attend and celebrate her extraordinary life.

Entombment will follow at Pineview Memorial Park.
