Daniel James Austin

Daniel J. Austin, 78, of Slinger Wisconsin, passed away November 3rd, with his long time love, Linda by his side.
Dan was born September 15th, 1947 in West Bend Wisconsin, to the late Thomas and Delores (Dolly) (nee Kocher) Austin. Dan graduated form West Bend High school, class of 1965. After graduation he had many jobs. Drywaller, laborer and a dispatcher to name a few. In the 70's, he was an Owner operator, buying a semi and delivering for companies across the country. In the 80's he became an Electrician and was part owner of G+D Electric in West Bend. He then became a master Electrician and worked for McIver Electric as "Vice President- Project Manager." During this time, he earned his license as a "Designer of Engineering systems"- something he was very proud of.
Dan is survived by his love Linda Raasch; children Brian Austin and Cheri Austin; stepdaughter Pamela (Andrew) Klein; sister Nancy Mattice; grandchildren Jenna (Ryan) Schrank, Jake Reichert, Jessie Reichert, Joe Huntowski, Olivia Huntowski; great-grandchildren baby boy Schrank due in April. He is further survived by cousins, nieces and many friends.
If you knew Dan, he was witty and fun and lots of laughs. You would always have a good time when he was around. Friends called him Dirty Dan, but when he was with Linda, they called them the "Dirties". So lets toast Dan with his favorite drink "Canadian Mist Press" and wish him well on this journey. You were loved by many and will be missed by all.
