Daniel Balcik Obituary
Beloved husband of Donna (Allan) Balcik. Dan and Donna would have celebrated their 20th anniversary on April 21.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Josephine (Koshi) Balcik.
Treasured brother of Joseph (Debbie) Balcik of Monroeville and Charles (Sandra) Balcik of Plum.
Dear uncle of Briana and Bryce Balcik, Sarah (Mike) Maddy, Christopher and Cristina Balcik, Raymond and Dominic Allan and Logan Divald.
Great uncle and godfather of Harlow Balcik.
Son-in-law of Sally Allan and the late Raymond Allan.
Brother-in-law of Raymond S. Allan, Julie (fiancé Mark Kociubinski) Allan, Cindy Allan (fiancé, Thomas Crombie) and Joseph Divald.
Dan was a 1981 graduate of Gateway High School and a graduate of the Allegheny County Police Academy. He retired with 26 years of service as a Police Officer with the Municipality of Monroeville. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge #91. In retirement, Dan enjoyed hunting, golfing, and gardening. His most special time was any opportunity to spend moments with family and friends.
Friends are welcome on Wednesday from 1-8pm at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Turtle Creek / Monroeville Chapel, 1111 Monroeville Ave., Turtle Creek, 412-823-9350.
An F.O.P. service will be conducted on Wednesday at 7PM.
Mass of Christian Burial will be in St. Colman Church of St. Joseph the Worker Parish on Thursday at 10 AM.
Dan will be laid to rest in Good Shepherd Cemetery.
