Daniel Barbuto Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel on Jan. 19, 2026.
Daniel G Barbuto JR., 52, of Hingham MA, passed away peacefully at his home. A lifelong resident of Hingham, Danny was deeply rooted in the town and called it home.

From an early age, Danny cherished time spent with his father, working side by side building cars and hot rods, memories that shaped his lifelong love for craftsmanship and hands on work. If there was ever an odd job around, he would be the one to call. Danny had such a good heart and would help anyone. When Danny wasn't working with his father, he was spending time with family and friends, going to drag races and playing hockey. He played for Hingham Youth Hockey as goalie from 1980-1989. He also enjoyed fishing, riding 4 wheelers and snowmobiles with his brother.

Danny spent a part of his life working for Barbuto Construction, contributing his skills and dedication to the family business started by his late grandfather. In addition to construction, he was talented in masonry work, building stone walls and patio spaces. Danny also put his skills to the test with home renovations on his daughter's house. Outside of working, he was a devoted fan of the Boston Bruins and rarely missed an opportunity to miss watching a game.

Over the years, Danny had a deep love for all of his dogs, each of whom he adored and treated as family. They were all a piece of joy in his life. Fishing was not just a hobby for Danny, it was his life. Whether on the water or talking about his next trip, fishing brought him peace and happiness. One of his greatest dreams was to one day move to Florida, where he imagined spending his days fishing under warmer skies.

Danny was the grandson of the late Robert and Marjorie Parker and Anthony and Jessie Barbuto. He is survived by his parents, Daniel and Denise Barbuto of Hingham, MA. His brother Anthony and his wife Alicia Barbuto of Huger, SC along with his nieces, Olivia and Addison Barbuto. His eldest daughter Victoria and her husband Anthony Keniston of East Bridgewater, MA, his son Robert Barbuto of Abington, MA and his youngest daughter Parker Lynn of Hingham, MA. He was a proud grandfather of his only grandson, Maverick Keniston, who brought him so much love and joy. He is also survived by aunts, uncles and many cousins.

Danny will be remembered for his love of fishing, his dedication to his work, the love for his family, and the quiet strength he carried throughout his life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A celebration of life for Danny will be held at the Sons of Italy in Hingham, MA on Saturday January 24, 2026 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm. All are welcome to attend and celebrate his life. There will be no services at this time, and interment will be private.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the Hingham Police Department, Hingham Fire Department, and Hingham Animal Control for their compassion, care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations in Danny's memory may be made to Buddy and Friends Animal Rescue of Pembroke, MA.

Danny and Rocky, I am so saddened to hear about Danny's passing. I have known Danny for ever... For all those years that Danny worked for me, I can absolutely say he was my best worker.
He was without any doubt the best heavy equipment operator I had.
He has so much potential. I saw Danny every day always brought him breakfast.
He will always be in my Heart
God Bless Danny and all of you...
