Daniel Kevin "Danny" Bayles, age 11, passed away unexpectedly due to a medical emergency on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital, Chicago. Danny is survived by his devoted and loving parents Daniel and Kristy (nee Oswald) Bayles, his younger brother Jackson Bayles, his maternal grandparents Kevin and Denise (nee Karas) Oswald, his paternal grandparents Edwin and Glenda (nee Chapman) Bayles, his aunts and uncles Tiffany (Kevin Ronan) Oswald, Kevin (Jessica) Oswald, John (Kelly) Bayles, David (Karin) Bayles, and Susan (Doug) Ruth, his cousins Bekham, Owen, Wyatt, Jacob, Gwen, Tyler, Christy, Jenny, Jessica, Brayden, and Michael, many many friends and several furry friends. Preceded in death by his maternal great grandparents Bertha and George Karas Sr. and Suzette and Robert Hubbard and his paternal great grandparents Glen and Effie Chapman and Raymond and Rebecca Bayles. Danny was a graduate of Trinity Lutheran Church Pre-School in New Lenox and he also attended Anna McDonald Elementary School, Wilson Creek Elementary School, Manhattan Intermediate School and Manhattan Junior High where he was in the 6th grade. Danny played the trumpet in the Manhattan Marching Band and the Manhattan Concert Band, and he was on the Manhattan School District #114 Fishing Club. Danny also enjoyed gaming, especially Fortnite and Roblox, he was also a collector of T13 figurines. He was an avid reader and loved walking to the Manhattan-Elwood Public Library on Whitson St. Danny was also an artist at heart, he had a talent for creating short entertaining films of which he created many. Danny will be remembered for his light spirit, his sense of humor and his big heart; he loved everyone he ever met, and he was a friend to everyone. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation for Danny will take place on Friday, October 24, 2025, from 3:00pm – 7:30pm at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home. Cedar Rd., New Lenox. In light of Danny's spirit, the family requests that those attending any of Danny's services dress casually and wear his favorite color red.
