Daniel Bettis Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bradley Funeral Home & Crematory - Antigo on Nov. 4, 2023.
Daniel Bruce Bettis, born on October 16, 1981 in Saint Paul, MN. Son of Tami (Sirek) McNamara (Mac). Brother of Christopher Bettis (Leia), Angela (Bettis) Sheldon and Michael Bettis (Becky). Father of Micah, Emma and Cali. Uncle to Jesse, Christian, Kamirin, Dane, Kinzie, Abbie, Alex, Nova and Mason. Nephew of Dale, Rick, Kelly, Chris and Kari. Grandson of Carol and Bruce Zimmerman and Bob Sirek (Jane). Cousin to so many who were more like brothers, sisters and the best of friends. And a lifelong friend to many.
Danny struggled very early on in life with severe asthma and hyperactivity disorder. We believe that led to his struggle with drug addiction later on. He developed type 1 diabetes in his 30s and that contributed to many other health obstacles. Danny spent 6 months in a rehabilitation center and was very proud of himself for completing the program. It was very shortly after that he suffered a cardiac arrest, a year prior to his passing. He wanted so badly to recover and get well for his children but the damage that was caused took an insurmountable toll on him and he was not able to recover.
Per his wishes, he spent the last days of his life at home under the care of his mother and the love of his life, Krissy Nappin. Krissy, your dedication and tender loving care for Danny in his final days mean so much to our family.
Daniel took his last breath on Sunday, October 29, 2023 and entered the Kingdom of Heaven where he joined his loved ones that passed before him.
A funeral service will take place at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 25th at Saint Andrew's Church in Saint Paul Park, MN. A celebration of his life will be in the Spring.
Danny,
If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever.
