Michael Floyd Ponshock

Michael Floyd Ponshock, age 62, of Antigo, died on February 3, 2026 at Howard Young Medical Center in Woodruff. He was born on April 15, 1963 in Park Falls, a son of Floyd and Marion (Langner) Ponshock.

Michael was a grounds keeper at Palmaceia Golf and Country Club in Tampa, Florida, he also worked at TPC Golf Course in Jacksonville, Florida. He moved back to Wisconsin in 2016 to be closer to his family. He liked to mow lawns, listen to country and rock and roll music, camping, spending time on the pontoon boat, and sitting by the campfire. Michael's favorite bird was the eagle. He cherished spending time with his nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his mother, Marion Ponshock of Antigo; four sisters, Darlene (Dennis) Sutte of Antigo, Joanne Sczygelski of Merrill, Arlene Vertz of Merrill, and Debra (Jay) Darling of Antigo; four brothers, David (Mary) Ponshock of Mosinee, Raymond (Kay) Ponshock of White Lake, Daniel Ponshock of Wausau, and Brian (Ron) Ponshock of Antigo. Michael is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father; and two brothers-in-law, Walter Sczygelski and Willard Vertz.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 13 at 12 p.m. at Bradley Funeral Home. Burial will take place in Elmwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 13 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the funeral home.
