Mr. Daniel "Hippy" Bock, 65, of Dayton, TN passed away at his residence August 1, 2025. Hippy, as he was known by all, was born Daniel Jay Bock August 7, 1959 to the late Earl and June Bock in Port Washington, Wisconsin. He moved to Dayton with his family at the age of ten where he resided until his death. Hippy was a Christian man, reading, studying, and teaching the Bible. He was a member of the Old Bible Methodist church for twenty years and preached until its closing. Hippy loved God, his family, and was kind to everyone. He was a dependable friend on which you could lean; a genuine and honest man. He was an excellent employee to Specialty Collison where he excelled at his craft of auto collision repair. He lived life to the fullest with God as his guide. Hippy found happiness in all of his endeavors, enjoying racing and the outdoors.

Hippy is preceded in death by his parents; son, Terrence Bock; brother, Robert Bock; and son-in-law Charlie Swafford.

Hippy is survived by his children, Ridge Bock of Spartanburg, SC and Sasha Swafford of Pikeville, TN; three sisters, Susan (Gordon Simmons) Bock of Milwaukee, WI, Cindy (Dale) Poole of Bakewell, TN, and Mary (Chuck) James of Sale Creek, TN; one brother, Tom (Carolyn) Bock of Chattanooga, TN; and several nieces and nephews.

a graveside funeral service will be held at 4PM Friday August 8, 2025 at Pleasant View Cemetery in Graysville with Pastor Terry Bolton officiating, The family will receive friends from 2- 3:30PM at the funeral home Friday, August 8, 2025.
