Daniel Brienza
April 17, 1974 – November 10, 2025
It is with deep sadness and love that we mourn the sudden loss of our brother, Danny Brienza. He was 51 years old. Born in Rochester, NY, Daniel is predeceased by his parents, Frank and Mary Brienza (Zahra). He is survived by his brother and sister, Frank Brienza and Tina Brienza Guida (Glenn), his niece, Ashley Brienza (Brett Rushlow), nephews Zachary Brienza, Glenn Guida, and Ryan Guida, and his great-nephew, Lewin.
Danny will forever be remembered for his cheerful nature, his gratitude for all he had, for never complaining, and his love of BMX bikes. Growing up, he spent countless hours riding and doing BMX tricks and jumps. Dan was also an inventor and had drawn up many intricate plans and ideas during his life. In grade school, Danny was always taking things apart around the house just to see how they worked. He had a gift and a knack for all things mechanical. Dan was a helpful handyman to friends and family, and a very hard worker.
Dan worked as a cook in several restaurants, including Ponderosa Steakhouse, Mount Hope Family Diner, and Roll' N Roaster. He attended Wheatland Chili High School where he ran track and placed in the McQuaid Invitational. He was a wonderful "cat father" to his kitty, Emma, who was a Christmas gift from his brother Frank and sister-in-law Tracey. He was also a beloved uncle to Ashley, Zack, Glenny, and Ryan – "cool Uncle Danny", who gave teenage boys collector's Zippo lighters, and told stories of jumping his bike off the Ballantyne Bridge into the Genesee River.
In the last days of his life, Danny was a careful follower of current events, politics, and rapidly advancing science. He was patient with his sister's confusion over complex matters and never tired of her many questions. Dan and Tina often talked about '80s movies and swapped recipes.
The loss of our brother, this beautiful person, leaves a hole in our hearts, but deep faith comforts us that he is united with our parents and is at peace. He will be forever remembered and is with us always. We will miss you, dear Danny.
