Daniel H. Brock

On Thursday early evening, February 12, 2026, Daniel Brock met his Savior face to face.

Daniel H. Brock was born December 11, 1928 to Ethel and John Brock in Anderson, South Carolina. He grew up as an only child. He went to college at Clemson University as part of the ROTC program. Toward the end of WWII, he enlisted and was sent to the south pacific as part of the Core of Engineers. Upon returning after his tour of duty, Dan married his sweetheart Betty Brock in 1949. Dan returned back to Clemson University to obtain an Electrical Engineering Degree. Dan and Betty came to Burlington in 1954 to work for Western Electric. He retired from AT&T. Dan and Betty joined First Baptist Church in 1954 and remained active in the church until their elder years. Dan decided after his AT&T retirement to return to school to become a chaplain, He accomplished his education and serviced Alamance Regional Medical Center for several years.

Dan was preceded in death by his wife Betty in 2023.

Dan's survivors include his daughter, Alice B. Scoggin (Larry) and Lisa B. Caldwell (Tim). He had 4 grandchildren, Stacey, Amanda, Christopher and Marc (Allyson). He has 4 great grandchildren, Jackson, Carter, McKinly and Olivia.

Services will be held at Rich and Thompson - Burlington on Wednesday, February 18, 2026. Visitation will be held from 12:45 - 1:45pm with a Celebration of Life service to be held at 2:00pm in the Chapel.

Our family would like to thank the Village of Brookwood for the love and care the staff lavished on our parents during their last days. We would like to also thank the AuthoraCare team for their outstanding care to our Mother in 2023 and the supportive and loving care of our Dad during his last days.
