Daniel Allen Brooks, 74, of St. Paul, passed away on March 28, 2026 at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born March 25, 1952 In Lebanon, Indiana to Allen Brooks and Ruth (Bailey) Brooks. He married Jacquelyn (Southern) Brooks on January 6, 1973 and she survives.

Other survivors include 3 children- Destinee (Joe) Nunlist of Batesville; John (Kelly) Brooks of Waldron; and Maggie Brooks of Greensburg, sisters Patricia Wamsley of Greenwood, and Laura Miller of Fishers, 12 Grandchildren, and 12 Great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by son Daniel Joseph Brooks, and brother and Jeffrey Brooks.

Mr. Brooks had lived in St. Paul for 34 years, after moving from Danville, In. He was an Owner/Estimator for Brooks Striping for 24 years, retiring in 2026.

Dan was the proud owner of Brooks Striping. He was passionate about his work and customers. He enjoyed traveling with the love of his life, (53 years) Jackie. He spent a majority of his time working on his service station in Waldron. He was an avid collector of antique vehicles and also had a secret collection of Pez dispensers. Dan was a man of few words but would talk for hours about his car collection and brag on his children. He was a proud father of 4. Dan was the backbone of this family and will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and co workers.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 2, 2026, from 11-1pm at Glenn E. George Funeral Home, 106 E. Franklin Street, St. Paul.

Funeral Services will be Thursday, April 2, 2026 at 1:00pm, with Pastor Daniel McDonald officiating.

Burial will be at a later date.

Memorial donations can be made to the American Heart Association or the Curing Kids Cancer organization in care of the funeral home.
