Daniel Brotherton Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home on Feb. 26, 2026.
Daniel Calvin Brotherton, 69, of Newport, New Hampshire, entered into eternal rest on February 21, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his loving family and fortified by the Last Sacraments.
Dan was born the eldest son of Ronald and Patsy Brotherton and grew up alongside his siblings Dianne and David. As a teen, he loved to work on the family farm and care for their cows and horses. Dan was president of his graduating class at Harding Academy in 1974. He ran the 440 and went to the state championship his freshman year. He loved computers from the moment he discovered them and worked in the software field from the punch card days until his retirement. He helped create software for the first color scanner at Logitech and was the Lead Programmer on Outpost, a bestselling computer game by Sierra Online.
Dan married the love of his life, Pamela Lynn, on May 29th, 1976, and God granted them 49 years together and blessed them with two children, Chad and Kristi.
Dan is survived by his wife, Pam, his two children, Chad Brotherton (married to Michelle) and Kristi Keely (married to Ryan), and eight grandchildren: Corwin, Isabel, Anthony, Rebekah, Abigail, Leonidas, Anna Sophia, and Titus Brotherton.
A Requiem Mass will be offered for Dan at Saint Stanislaus Catholic Church, 43 Franklin St., Nashua, New Hampshire, on March 6th at 10:00am. His burial will follow at 2:00pm the same day.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter.
May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
