OBITUARY
Daniel Patrick Brown, "Dan the Man," of Monroe, Georgia,
passed away on July 24, 2025. He was born on February 28, 1983, in Rockdale,
Georgia, to Denise Brown and Wayne Brown.
Dan
was full of life. He loved the outdoors (especially fishing) and found joy in
being with friends, smoking BBQ on the grill and telling stories that somehow
got funnier with each retelling. Many called him the "life of the
party," but to those who knew him best, it simply meant he brought love,
joy, happiness, smiles and warmth wherever he went. A gifted salesman, he was a
natural storyteller who listened as much as he talked, making everyone feel
important.
Dan knew he "married up" when he wed Ashley Dixon Brown; he adored
his wife and he knew his sons, Elijah Daniel and Easton Wayne, were his
proudest accomplishments. Even during his long struggle, Dan's faith never
wavered. He knew he was created, blessed and saved by God, and he faced his
challenges with courage and a fierce determination. In his last few months, he
and Ashley, kids, friends and family knocked out several bucket-list
adventures, making memories that will be cherished forever.
Dan is survived by his wife of 18 years, Ashley Dixon Brown, and their sons
Elijah Daniel Brown and Easton Wayne Brown. He also leaves behind his parents,
Denise Brown and Wayne Brown; his brother, Jess Brown (Patty); nephews Ben and
Nate Brown; cousins Wesley Grantham, Nicole Williams, Chelsie Green and James
Green; and a wide circle of friends who will be swapping "Dan the
Man" stories for years to come.
Per Dan's wishes, he will be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held at
11:00am on October 18, 2025, at Grace Monroe. Friends and family are invited to
gather on that Saturday to share memories, swap fishing tales, and honor the
man who could light up a room with his smile. Please carry forward Dan's legacy
by treating everyone you meet like an old friend and by telling the people you love just how much they mean to you.
