Having known and worked with Dan for almost 40 years, we were so saddened by his passing. As an attorney at the Legal Aid Society, Dan represented countless numbers of folks, improving their lives and well being. In addition to his advocacy skills, Dan excelled in his legal writings and pleadings: concise, inclusive and erudite. We are so very sorry.

Dan was a great guy who i had the pleasure of working with from 2005 until his retirement.
We laughed and talked daily. He shared the famous meat sauce recipe and knowledge of being the best Intake Specialist that i have become...He would say Angie don't take no (explicit) from the callers.

So many wonderful memories of our childhoods. The collective Burke´s were quite a force. Whether we were upstairs on Fairgate Street or in the basement on Southampton Drive, we were always up to something and Danny with that twinkle in his eye was leading the mischief. Tommy, Joey, Jimmy, Timmy and me were all in on whatever he wanted to do! Eileen, you were in too! All of us are better people today because of this family and Danny. Rest well cousin until we are all reunited with The Lord.

I have fond memories of the parties at the Burke family home. Dan and Patty were close in age and therefore both of their groups of friends were in attendance. The younger kids were around as well, trying to be more " grown up". Mr and Mrs Burke were always home but Mr Burke would send son " Butch" to keep an eye on the group!! Always good clean fun and never any problems ( under the watchful eyes of Butch). Sadly I haven´t seen Danny in many years. Rest In Peace old friend.

Our Deepest condolences and sympathies to Ronnie, Dan´s sons and to all of the Burkes on the the passing of Dan. God bless Dan and all of you in the days ahead. Be there for each other. Dan and I first met back in our high school years when Dan played soccer for Aquinas and I played for King´s Prep. We also worked cutting grass at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery during summer employment. We were classmates at ND. Fondly recall numerous visits to ND football weekends at ND by Dan´´s father and his fellow Kodak office mates.
Dan and I met up again in Rochester when Dan was at Legal Aid and I was working in the Monroe County DA´s office. I moved on to the FBI and despite transfers to different locations still would meet up with Dan and our fellow mates at UND for numerous games over the years. Dan was a barrel of fun. Will remember him and light a candle for him, God willing, at the ND grotto next year at our 50th reunion weekend in June/2023. God bless and be with Dan and all of you in the days ahead.
Deepest sympathies
