Daniel Joseph Carr, of Saint Paul, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2025, at the age of 80. Born and raised in Saint Paul to Norene and Henry Carr, Daniel lived a life defined by love, humor and quiet strength.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years, Calista (Schnieders) Carr; his three children, Sarah (John) Lyon, Jeremy (Beth) Carr, and Rebecca (Joe) Alf; and his beloved grandchildren, Connor, Ben, and Owen Alf. He is also survived by his twin sister Dianne Krinke, his sisters Mary Rae (Paul) Garcia and Jennifer Garden, and his brother Steven Carr.
Daniel's family was the center of his world, and he took immense joy in every moment spent with them. A man of many interests, he had a lifelong fascination with Philco radios and the stories they carried through the airwaves. He found companionship and comfort in his loyal dog, Hickory, and was happiest when surrounded by loved ones, sharing laughter and memories.
He also found deep meaning in the music and words of Bob Dylan, whose lyrics often echoed Daniel's thoughtful nature and appreciation for life's complexities.
Daniel will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his unwavering dedication to family, and the quiet wisdom he offered to those fortunate enough to know him.
