Daniel Eugene "Danny" Carroll

1962 - 2026

Daniel (Danny) Eugene Carroll, 63, of rural LaMonte, MO, passed away Sunday,
January 4th, 2025.
Danny was born on May 17th, 1962, to Clarence and Veletta Carroll. Danny grew up in
LaMonte Missouri and was a star athlete at LaMonte R-IV where he graduated in 1975.

Danny worked many years at Sedalia Veterinary Center alongside his brother, Jim, as a
large animal vet assistant. Later Danny took on numerous roles in the Agricultural
service business at Jones Brother's Agri Service in LaMonte up until his death. Danny
was also a farmer, caring for cattle early on and then switching to row crops later in life.
When he wasn't working, Danny enjoyed all things outdoors especially hunting, fishing,
and camping. Danny also enjoyed being a PopPop and sharing his love of the outdoors
with his granddaughters.

Danny loved life. His love for life and adventure started at an early age with memorable
family trips all over the states. However, his most treasured memories were those he
made here in the community of La Monte. From being heavily involved with JC's Big
Buck Club to opening up his own bar, Danny's Place, he always surrounded himself with
community. In 1987 Danny established the Crystal Springs Big Buck Contest, where not
only countless memories were made, but also lifelong friendships were gained.
Danny did not know a stranger and was generous to a fault. To know him was to love
him and he was loved by many.

Danny is survived by his wife, Angie; daughter & son-in-law, Kaylee & Travis Warner (Clara, Elaine, & Josephine); a sister, Pat (Robert White); three brothers, Jim, Chuck
(Diana), and Mark; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence, his mother Valetta, and a dear friend,
Bill Barr.

A celebration of life gathering with family and friends is being planned for a later date.
