Daniel L. Carver, 63, of Dyersville, Iowa, passed away Saturday, January 17, 2026, at his home.
Dan was born June 1, 1962, in Nampa, Idaho, son of Oliver and Nancy Carver. He was an over-the-road truck driver for most of his life until he was forced to stop when his health started declining. In 2002, he met the love of his life, Jeff and that is what brought Dan to Iowa. They loved the Dyersville area and together settled here and thoroughly enjoyed getting to know everyone he met. Dan was a joker at heart and liked to see how far he could push it. Once you knew him, you couldn’t get enough of him.
Dan is survived by the love of his life, Jeff Glawe, adopted son, Nick (April) Pasker, grandchildren: Zachary, Alyssa, Ethan and Alivia of Strawberry Point; siblings: Dean (Joy) Carver of Fort Worth, TX, Leroy (Katherine) Carver and Donald Carver and sister, Jeanie (Lee) Hassel all of Middleton, ID, parents-in-law, Lyle (Darlene) Glawe of Garnavillo, IA, in-laws: Randy (Ronda) Glawe, Rodney (Anissa) Glawe, Rick (Sherrie) Bries all of Monona, IA and several nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and several aunts & uncles.
A truck Memorial drive will be held on Sunday, January 25, 2026, leaving at noon from Beckman parking lot, returning to the Rose Garden Apartments where a prayer vigil will be held.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
