With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Daniel Costigan, 64 , of Chicago, IL, who passed away peacefully on February 7, 2025 surrounded by his loving wife. He was born in Lansing, MI on August, 22, 1960, the youngest of Thomas and Teresa Costigan ‘s six children. He was the wonderful husband of Grace for 12.6 years, a cherished brother to Anne (Bruce) Burke, Pat (Cecelia) Costigan, Eileen Costigan, Chris (Margaret) Costigan and Joseph (Judy) Costigan, and a beloved Uncle and Great Uncle to many in the USA and Poland. Daniel was dedicated to every job he held, recognized for his devotion and precision. Outside of work, he was passionate about paying attention to details, a job well done and especially a love of God. He will be remembered for his faith, his genuine kindness, and for his unwavering love for his close and extended family.
A memorial service will be held at Mary Queen of Heaven Catholic Church in Cicero, IL, on February 11, 2025. Visitation is at 9:00 AM and Mass at 10:00 AM. The next day he will continue his journey to Grand Ledge, MI, where the visitation will be at 11:00 AM, Holy Mass at 12 noon at St. Michael Catholic Church in Grand Ledge, MI. Following the Mass, burial will take place at St Joseph Cemetery in Lansing, MI. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St Vincent de Paul Society in his memory.
