Daniel Lee Croston

Daniel Lee Croston, 71, of Carrollton, passed away Monday, May 5th, at University Hospitals of Cleveland. Born in Canton, on October 9, 1953, a son of the late Raymond L. Jr. and Virginia Mae (Newman) Croston. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by nieces, Wanda (Charlie) Wilson & Jayme Croston, nephew, Jeremy Barnett, and great-niece, Lily Croston. Daniel was a dedicated worker and was ambitious starting at a young age. He started working as a paper boy, then went to work at a car wash, before being employed at Republic Steele for 50 years until retirement. Daniel had a smile that would light up the room. He loved to get together with his family, and was always happy, which always made people around him feel happy. Daniel had a very giving heart, whether he knew you or if it was a stranger he had just met. Daniel left an impression on everyone he met with his contagious personality. Survived by his loving wife Debbie Williams; 2 sisters Margaret L. Smith, Wanda L. Wilson; 2 brothers Stanley (Shelly) Croston, Robert (Kathy) Croston; as well as other loving family members and friends. Funeral services will be held in the Waltner-Simchak Funeral Home on Monday, May 12th, at 1pm with Pastor Aaron Stanley of First Baptist Church of Jackson officiating. Friends and family may call two hours prior to services in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Louisville.
