Daniel "Gator" Daehnke of Wright City, Missouri, passed away on December 22, 2025 at the age of 71. He is survived by his beloved wife Norma Daehnke (neé: Moshell) of Wright City, Missouri; son, Joshua (Anne) Daehnke; daughter, Desiree' Loxley; two brothers, Theodore (Lauren) Daehnke of St. Helens, OR, Paul (Ronda) Daehnke of Union, MO; two sisters, Laura (Gary) Mackey of Charlestown, MA, Marie (Dennis) Sauerhage of Rising Sun, IN; grandchildren, Logan and Morgan Daehnke and Joseph, Anthony and Daniel Loxley; He is preceded in death by his father, Gustav (Ted) Daehnke, mother, Dorothy Daehnke (neé: Hundt), sister, Margaret Guilford, and brother-in-law, Rusty Guilford.

Born to Ted and Dot Daehnke in South Charleston, West Virginia, Dan's journey took him to Pensacola, Florida during his senior year, where fate brought him together with the love of his life, Norma Moshell. They exchanged vows on May 14, 1977. Their union was blessed with two children, Joshua and Desiree'.
In 1986, the family made Missouri their home, where Dan was a carpenter with the St. Louis Carpenter's Union, and upon retirement from the Union, he became self-employed. An avid outdoorsman, Dan found joy in fishing and hunting. Above all, his greatest treasure was the time spent with his grandchildren, creating memories that they will hold dear in their hearts.

Dan will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
