Daniel Espinosa Davila of Odem, was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on July 24th 1947 to Esther Esparza and Eduardo Davila and passed away on November 3, 2023.

He graduated from Roy Miller High School in 1965.  He served proudly in the United States Marine Corp.  He served two tours in Vietnam and received a Purple Heart.  Daniel retired from the U.S. PostalService after many years of service.  He was a talented musician and was inducted into the Tejano Hall of Fame in 2011.

Daniel is preceded in death by his wife, Deborah McWilliams Davila; his grandparents who raised him, Eristeo and Gabriella Espinoza; his mother, Esther Esparza, and his father Eduardo “Lalo” Davila.  

He is survived by his two daughters, Veronica Davila Cortez (Paul) and Cristina Davila; and his grandchildren, Catalina & Paul Cortez Jr. and Olivia Davila.  Daniel is also survived by sister, Mary Alice Crabtree (Jack); brothers, Roy Esparza (Nancy), Tito Esparza Jr. and Richard Esparza (Luna).  

 

The funeral will be a private ceremony with only close family members present.
