Daniel F De Monte

Daniel F De Monte 81 of Manchester died Sunday September 7, 2025 at home. Born in the Bronx, NY he resided in Dix Hills, LI for 36 years before moving to Manchester 22 years ago. He was a Union Plumber of Union Local #1, Long Island, NY for 43 years before retiring and for 35 years he volunteered for the Dix Hills Fire Department. Daniel enjoyed driving his Lexus to Atlantic City to go to the Golden Nugget slots, telling his tall tales, bulldogs, living in New Jersey and loved Deer Park Ravioli. He loved his cookies, Italian food, and he never hated a fresh cannoli. He is predeceased by wife, Catherine De Monte in January 2025 whom he loved dearly (when they were not yelling at each other), and brother, Joseph De Monte. Surviving are his children, Daniel De Monte Jr., Scott De Monte (Jessica), and Dawn Vallen (Jason), stepchildren, Leigh Cadigan (Stephanie) and Martina Dallara (Dave) and 13 grandchildren: Guido, John, Morgan, Peyton, Luke, Will, Rachael, Matthew, Nicole, Sean, Emily, Branden, Deven. Visitation is Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Oliverie Funeral Home 2925 Ridgeway Road, Manchester with a 7 PM service. Entombment is Friday at Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River.
