Erma C Capozzi

Erma C Capozzi, 84, of Lakehurst passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born in Scranton, PA, she lived in Lakehurst since 1963. Erma was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Erma was a dedicated employee who worked for Peter Pan Industries in Lakewood as a shop steward for 19 years. She also worked at Lakewood Store and Lock for over a decade. She was a great cook and enjoyed reading, crosswords and puzzle books. Erma loved being at and enjoying Lake Horicon every summer for 60 years. She delighted in being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, David J Capozzi, son, Christopher Capozzi, daughters, Donna Marie and husband Andrew Saafi, Patricia Ann and husband David Frost, grandchildren, Andrew, Alexander, Anthony, Matthew, Brielle, great grandchildren, Nicholas, Isabella, Emma, Melanie. She is pre-deceased by her great grandson, Andrew F. Memorial mass is Friday, February 13th at 10:00 AM at St John's Church, 619 Chestnut St, Lakehurst, NJ 08733. Inurnment will be private. Erma was a private person, please keep her and her family in your prayers, in lieu of flowers.
