Frank Fuscaldo 98 of Berkeley Twp died Friday January 30, 2026, peacefully at home. Born in San Cosmo, Italy he came to the US and became a US Citizen at age 2. He served in the US Army during WWII in the 88th Infantry Division Blue Devils from 1945-1947. He served in northern Italy (Trieste, Udine, and Gorizia) and was honorably discharged in 1947, receiving the Army of Occupation Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. He was raised in Newark, NJ, but moved to Bloomfield, NJ with his parents and siblings where he resided for 73 years, eventually raising his own family in the same home. He moved to Toms River, NJ in 2015 with his beloved wife Gilda. He had many jobs over the years including Lionel Trains, working for his brother Tom at Thomas Printing and Office Supply, and finally for the Bloomfield Board of Education as a custodian for Berkeley Elementary School for 15 years before retiring in 1994. He enjoyed movies and music (Andrea Bocelli, Il Volo, Mario Lanza, Frank Sinatra) and was a Bocce Ball champion at his clubhouse. He loved attending New York Yankees games at the old stadium with his wife and son Frank Jr. He was a prolific storyteller and loved telling old stories to everyone, especially his grandchildren. He was a man of honor and dignity, judging people only by their character.

He is predeceased by his beloved wife Gilda (nee Parisi) in 2023, his sister Loretta Di Michele (nee Fuscaldo) in 2005, his brother Thomas in 2018, his brother Joseph in 2022 and sister-in-law Barbara (nee Fanning) in 2025. Surviving are his children, Angela Minsky and her husband Neil, Gina Franco (Fuscaldo), son-in-law Michael Franco, and son Dr. Frank Fuscaldo, Jr., and 3 grandchildren, Angelica, Michael & Hope.

Visitation is Friday, February 6th at 4:00-8:00 PM at Oliverie Funeral Home, 2925 Ridgeway Rd Manchester. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, February 7th at 10:00 AM at St Maximilian Kolbe Church, Toms River with interment to follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Montclair. In lieu of flowers please make donations to St Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
