DiBona, Daniel, Jr. of Quincy, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2024.
Beloved son of the late Daniel and Veronica DiBona, devoted husband to the late Rita DiBona and brother to deceased Gerald DiBona. Daniel was loved by his sister Christine Langille and her family, Kenneth and daughter Nicole, and caring cousins.
Daniel grew up in North Weymouth in a close-knit Polish community with three generations of family close by. He graduated from Weymouth HS Vo-Tech, where he was trained in carpentry; and then on to work for Grossman's Lumber for 30 years followed by working for Bradlees another 25 years. During this time, he met and was married to Rita for 30 years, until her passing.
An avid car enthusiast, Daniel loved working on his cars and was very handy. He also enjoyed listening and singing to music, managed to learn to ski in Vermont and did some traveling. While Daniel was a quiet man, people knew him as a good man and always ready to help. He will be missed very much.
A private service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Daniel may be made to AccentCare Hospice & Palliative Care, 1 Edgewater Dr. Suite 103, Norwood, MA 02062 or to the Alzheimers Assn., MA Chapter, 309 Waverley Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452.
