Obituary
Daniel Jerome Diersing Sr., of Morgan Township, passed away on April 18, 2023, at the age of 84. He was born on October 18, 1938, in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late George and Pauline (nee Fuell) Diersing. He married Evelyn Lewis on November 7, 1959. They were blessed with three children: Daniel, David, and Dona. Dan was a member of Local 8 Asbestos Workers/Insulators until a well deserved retirement. He enjoyed... golfing, fishing, and drinking a beer with his friends. Dan enjoyed joking with friends and family and many times said, "Don't take things too seriously in life."
Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Evelyn (nee Lewis) Diersing; dear children: Dan (Melissa) Diersing, David ( Frankie) Diersing, Dona (Sergio Hamza) Dole; cherished grandchildren: David Diersing, Tara Doherty, Alex, Claire, & Cole Diersing, Ashyrina & David Hamza & Sean (Shanon) & Scott (Lexie) Salsman; great grandchildren: Carlie, Timmy, Lacey, Juni, Laurel, Noelle, Liam, Logan & Olivia; Sister: Lois (James) Marconi; sisters-in-law: Sue Diersing, Arlene Diersing and the Lewis in-laws: Mary Peterson, Florine (Jake) Stupprich and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents: George and Pauline Diersing, Siblings: Janice (John) Donahue, Gail Darling, Tom Diersing, Jim Diersing, Lewis-in-laws: Elmer (Annette) Lewis, Ruth St. John, Esther (Lester) Meyers, Dorothy (Martin) Henn, Jean Rineair, James (Dorothy) Lewis & Virginia Parsons.
Visitation will be held at Brater Winter Funeral Home, 201 S. Vine St. Harrison, OH 45030 on Saturday, April 22, 2023, from 9 am until the blessing service at 10:45 AM. Burial to follow at St. Aloysius Cemetery in Shandon.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati or charity of your choice. Funeral Home representative will be able to assist at the funeral home.
