Daniel Ralph Dittberner

Daniel R Dittberner "Ditty", age 86, of South Lyon passed away with his family by his side on July 5, 2025, after a long battle with Lymphoma. Ditty was born on November 17, 1938 in Detroit to Ralph and Edna, the eldest of three boys. Ditty served in the US Army. Ditty worked for Ford Motor Company for over 40 years. He was known for his ability to socialize with anybody and everybody. Everyone was his friend, new or old. Ditty's passions were his Harley's, fishing, and his very happy place on Sugar Island. He enjoyed traveling with their camper and many adventures throughout Florida. He is survived by his loving wife Gayle; his children Denise (Scott), Michelle, Donna (Craig), and several grandchildren; Meghan, Nathan, Tyler, Mallory, Danny, Alex, and Andrew. His daughter Nancy preceded his death His infectious smile and tenderness will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A celebration of Ditty's life will be held at a future date.
