Daniel D. Duby

On June 19, 2025, Dan Duby, age 62, of Duncannon, passed away peacefully after suffering from a long-term illness. Dan was born in Perth, Ontario, Canada in 1963 and always had a fondness for Canada and its people.

Dan was a 1981 High School graduate of the Carson Long Military Institute in New Bloomfield. After graduating from High School, he went on to have a career and eventually retired from Highmark in Camp Hill. Dan had a life-long love of music, movies and animals, especially reptiles. He also enjoyed trips to area zoos. Dan loved traveling back and forth to Canada to see his relatives. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Penguins and Philadelphia Phillies games.

Dan is survived by his father, Victor Duby of Duncannon and his brother, John Duby and John's girlfriend Jill Baumgartner, both of Lancaster. Also surviving is Dan's companion and dear friend of many years, Darlene Smith along with her family members of Duncannon. Dan was preceded in death by his mother, Margie E. (Oyler) Duby.
