Daniel E. "Danny" King

Daniel E. “Danny” King, 61, of Valdosta, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at South Georgia Medical Center. Born in Avon Park, Florida, on January 18, 1965, to John Edward King and Alice Marie Daugherty King, Danny spent much of his early life in Kentucky, where he held various jobs. He spent many years driving truck for US Express. Danny enjoyed spending time outdoors, often tending to his yard and mowing the grass several times a week. One of his simple pleasures was watching the television show Gunsmoke.

He is survived by his children, Daniel King of Waverly, KY, Aaron King of Henderson, KY, and Amber King of Morganfield, KY; his sister Kristy Ashton of North Dakota; and his brothers and their spouses, Jeff and Sandra King of Hanson, KY, Mark and Diana King of Valdosta, Jim and Darla King of Clarksville, TN, Benjamin Dame of Waverly, KY, and Lonnie and Paula Dame of Valdosta. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Danny was preceded in death by his parents and his brother John King.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens, with Pastor Jim Barker officiating. Friends and family are invited to share condolences online at www.mclanecares.com.
