Roy Leonard Hall, Sr., 75, of Valdosta, died on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at his residence following a period of declining health. He was born in Valdosta on January 7, 1951, to the late Roy Leon Hall and Dorothy Mullis Hall and has been a lifelong resident of this area. Mr. Hall had been employed in the past with Crackin’ Good Bakery where he met his wife and later served as a State of Georgia Corrections Officer for over 25 years and worked at the Valdosta Prison. He is survived by his wife, Glenda Hall of Valdosta; his children, Roy Hall, Jr. (Genna) of Fernandina Beach, Florida, Melanie Corbett of Oklahoma, Valerie Ford (Ford) of Valdosta, Dorothy Howell of Valdosta, and Shannon Hall (Jessica) also of Valdosta; his grandchildren, Marcie Merwin, Jackie Merwin, Zach Douthit, Ashley Howell, Jonathan Hall, and Shannon Hall; great-grandchildren, Isabell Maine, Azaria Hill, and Rayna Merwin; siblings, Nancy Boatwright, Buddy Hall (Skye), Anna Spivey (Rocky), Diann Trupia (Mark), and Tony Hall (Pam); sister-in-law Kimberly Cochran, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded by a son, Joseph Samuel Douthit and his mother-in-law, Margaret Rivers.
