Daniel was born on Sunday, August 24, 1958, in Janesville, Wisconsin, the son of Daniel Joseph and Joanne Marlene (Wiskie) Edmunds.
Daniel grew up in Janesville and graduated from Craig High School in 1977. He later attended U-Rock and Blackhawk Technical College. In 1984, Dan enlisted into the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1989. A year and a half later he met the love of his life, Catheraine D. Wood. He and Cathy were married on November 7, 1992, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
Daniel was employed as a CNC Operator and worked at Hi-Pro Incorporated, Isley Machine, Anderson Machine, and Triple III. Daniel was a member of Midwest Christian Center in Janesville, Wisconsin since the late 1970's, where he was a church deacon, musician, and volunteered much of his time by transporting kids in the youth ministry, adults in the Adult Ministry, and picking up food for the church food pantry. Daniel also helped with the church health newsletter, and other maintenance projects around the church. Many will remember his kindness for visiting residents at various nursing homes around the area and playing guitar for them.
Daniel was meticulous and hard worker who could also be a little stubborn at times. He had a great sense of humor and was known to joke around. Daniels faith in both God and his fellow man were beyond compare. In his spare time Daniel enjoyed working on classic cars including his 68 Chevelle, taking trips in the motorhome with his family, and teaching guitar lessons with the Quest Home School Group.
Daniel is survived by his wife, Catheraine; sons, Adam (Tricia) Edmunds, and Noah Edmunds; sister, Julianne Young, Amy Hoag, and Susan (Kevin) Cole; several nieces and nephews; his church family; and a grandson who is on the way. Daniel was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be planned and held at Midwest Christian Center, 336 North Jackson Street, Janesville, Wisconsin 53548. Hansen-Gravitt Funeral Home, 424 Prospect Street, Beloit, Wisconsin 53511, is honored to be assisting the family. Online condolences can be shared at www.hansengravitt.com
