Allan Brillman Obituary

Authored by Allan Brillman and to be published as written. Well I don't know what you're trying to find here cuz let's face it, I'm dead. I got this way on September 9, 2025 after being born on August 14, 1954. Why are you still reading? You want my life story, is that it? How bored are you people? Morbid curiosity! Ya just gotta know, don't ya! Alright, well here it goes …. Let me know if I left anything out. Mom and Dad (Anita and Lester) made me a long time ago but it was five years after they made my brother Bob. As any of you who know anything about my family, they're all gone. And now I'm gone, get over it. Now on to what you all want to know … I graduated from Northwestern Military and Navel Academy in 1972 of which I am very proud. While I did not graduate from Beloit Memorial my fellow classmates from '72 embraced me as one of their own. THANK YOU CLASS OF '72. From there on to U-Rock for a couple of years and then Madison for 4 more years (6 year plan) graduating with a bachelor's degree in Radio TV and Film. My career activities included production and engineering duties at WREX TV in Rockford and WHA TV in Madison. Those were some really fun times. From there I assumed the role of the first Technical Director at the MetroCentre. After that short career I was recruited to SwedishAmerican Health System to help in the construction of their dietary addition. Apparently, they liked what I was doing so they kept me around for 18 years retiring as Director of Planning Design and Construction. Who could have guessed!? Interspersed was a 20-year commitment as a Paid-on Call Firefighter with the Town of Beloit Fire Department. Love those Big Red Trucks! Okay, I think that's enough or would you like more? Oh, I forgot, the last chapter was a rather lengthy stint with Gambino Realtors as a Realtor, not Real-uh-Tor, but Real-tor. Come on people, get it right! Yeah, I did a lot of stuff. And I did play golf occasionally. You got all that? Now it's time to open up those wallets and let's not be stingy. How about the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine or Beloit Memorial Health System or The Town of Beloit Fire Department Association. Listen now folks if you don't, I'll be that sudden pain in your side that you'll never know where it came from. You're still here? What more do you want. Just go about your business. Go on now. Opps, I forgot …. My survivors. Cousins – Michael (Heather) Eremita and Patricia. So long, farewell, Auf Wiedersehen and good bye. Adios, au revoir, arrivederci …. "Th-Th-Th-That's All Folks!" Stay tuned for the party announcement. People can forget what you said and people can forget what you did but people will never forget how you made them feel at one certain time. Maya Angelou

Al was such a fun person to be around. Worked with him at Swedishamerican. He took it very well when his age was 36 and we gave him a 40th BD party. Even the cafeteria got involved and named a sandwich after him on that day. Will never forget when he displayed pink flamingoes on lake Peterson lawn where he had removed some old shrubs. Of course I think he got in a little trouble over that. lol. As you can imagine there was a pink flamingo gift for Al at the party.
Al was always one of the last people to submit his capital budget requests every year. We could count on it.
Al read your obit. Sounds like you. Loved it.
I´m so sad to hear of your passing. You brought lots of laughter to your coworkers at SAH.
It´s been hard writing this with tears in my eyes. May you rest in peace. Loved you Al.
