1969-2026
Daniel Ferguson, Jr., who made his grand entrance into the world on August 14th, 1969, in Monmouth, New Jersey, decided to take his final bow on March 6, 2026, in
Greensboro, North Carolina, at the age of 56. He left us due to natural causes, though we suspect he might have just wanted a better view of the Steelers games.
Daniel attended NC A&T University, where he likely spent more time perfecting his jump shot than hitting the books. He later put his supervisory skills to good use at AT&T and later with Labcorp, where he was known for keeping things running smoothly and caring for his associates.
A sports enthusiast through and through, Daniel could often be found watching his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers, or engaging in some friendly competition on the basketball court. Whether it was playing sticks with the fellas or winning at the table, Daniel had a knack for turning any gathering into a lively event.
Preceded in death by his parents, Daniel Ferguson, Sr., and Estella Dunlap Ferguson, he leaves behind a family who will forever cherish his memory. Surviving him are his daughter, Kiana, and her husband, William Alua of Blue Bell, Pennsylvania; his sister, Debra Hall of Fayetteville; nephews Richard Hall and wife Sydney of Charlotte, and Peter Fore of Fayetteville; his girlfriend, Alicia Williams of Greensboro; along with many other friends who were lucky enough to share in his laughter and love.
A celebration of Daniel's life will take place at noon on Friday, March 13th, 2026, at Triad Cremation & Funeral Service, located at 2110 Servomation Road,
Greensboro, North Carolina 27407. The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the service, where stories will be shared, tears will be shed, and laughter will surely echo in honor of a man who knew how to live life to the fullest.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests you watch a Steelers game in his honor, preferably with a drink in hand and a smile on your face-just as Daniel would have wanted.
