Ericka Maurice Neely

Ericka Maurice Neely of High Point NC, 46, the daughter of Saundra Neely Talley and Dr. Joe Little passed away peacefully on Monday, March 2, 2026. Ericka, otherwise known as Dukes of Hazzard, Duke, Girlie, Cousin, Sis, or simply Neely was born on October 10, 1979. Ericka was a graduate of the class of 1997 from High Point Central.

Relatives that preceded Ericka in death are, her maternal grandmother Maurice Neely, maternal grandfather Edward Lee Fisher, paternal grandmother Maxine Little, paternal grandfather Joe Little Sr., Aunt Margaret Neely, Uncle Ray Neely, and finally her favorite uncle in law, Phil McDaniel.

Left to cherish her memories are, Saundra Neely Talley (Mother), Dr. Joe Little (Father) and Lorraine Little, Katrina Neely (Sister), Nicholas Shawn Little (Brother), Levalla McDaniel (Aunt), and a host of very close cousins, Territa McDaniel (Camra and Jayla), Phillisa McDaniel, Keisha Neely, Herb Neely. Also including very special friends Charlotte and Shawmicka Turner, Jamie Dockery, Keisha Albany, Bianca and Paris Hardin, Shemeka Bland, her two NYC brothers, Tone and P and so many more.

Ericka had a 24-year career as a phlebotomist spanning throughout the Triad and made the move to Durham NC in early 2024 to work for the Duke Medical System. With a career spanning over two decades, you can imagine the number of people she knew, encountered, and met through the various lab locations. Ericka's favorite hobbies were watching Cupcake Wars, cooking and baking deserts. Her favorite TV show was The Price is Right and Ericka never missed an episode of Judge Judy and The Peoples Court. Lastly, we all know Ericka loved her clothes and sneakers! Voted best dressed by the way lol.

Our family is thoroughly amazed and so appreciative of the outpouring of love and support we have received from friends near and far. Never in a million years would we have thought this abundance of love was ever possible in our lifetimes. Thank you all so much.

There will be a floating memorial/celebration of life for Ericka on Sunday, March 8, 2026 from 3:00-6:00 PM at Jazzy Venue, 3136-E MLK Jr Drive, High Point, NC, 27260.
