Daniel "Dan" Vincent Ferrante of Palmyra, ME, passed away on May 3, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Born on June 14, 1957, Dan grew up in the neighborhoods of Boston, including Mattapan and Hyde Park. He was a graduate of Don Bosco Technical High School in Boston which led him to successful career as a licensed electrician. During his career he was employed by American Steel Toe Company, Lynn, MA; Wheelabrator, Saugus, MA and Capco Crane and Hoist, Rowley, MA.
A devoted father and grandfather, Daniel was a quiet but mighty presence in the lives of those who loved him. An avid outdoorsman, he found peace in nature and proudly fulfilled his dream of retiring to Maine. He spent the last few years helping handcraft and build a beautiful playset and sandbox for his grandchildren to enjoy for years to come.
He was incredibly proud of his children and beyond obsessed with his granddaughters. His granddaughter will always remember her camping trip with her Grampy last summer-memories that will be treasured forever.
Dan is survived by his son Jim Ferrante of Sebec, ME and his wife Molly and their children Charlotte and Lily; his daughter Jennifer Ferrante of Rowley, MA; his brother Michael Ferrante of Essex, MA; his sister Nancy Maquire of Hollywood, FL; and Robin Ferrante of Dover-Foxcroft, ME. Dan is predeceased by his parents Michael and Emma Ferrante, and his youngest brother Christopher Ferrante of Rockport, MA.
Per his wishes, there will be no formal services.
