Daniel H. “Danny” Flowers, 79, of Massillon, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2024. Daniel was born on July 5, 1945 in Massillon, the son of the late Herbert and Bertha (Gamble) Flowers.
Danny was a lifelong resident of Massillon and attended Washington High School. He was a skilled commercial carpenter and retired after 35 years of service. Danny was an amateur car repairman and generally an all-around handyman. He was also a car enthusiast, especially convertibles. He also enjoyed fishing, and collecting antiques, mostly vases, lamps, and figurines. He loved dogs in general, but Lucy was his favorite four-legged companion.
He is survived by his daughter, Bertha Flowers; siblings Julia Flowers, Orlando Flowers, Lottie Shell, Vinnie Moore and Gary Flowers.
Along with his parents, Danny was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Phyllis Flowers in 2019 and siblings Tommy, Herbert, Owen, Sallie Mae, Vernon, Lee Albert Flowers and Laura Hicks.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at Paquelet Funeral Home from 11 am. - 1:00 pm, with a Home Going Celebration at 1:00 pm. Pastor Sean Shell, Officiating. Those unable to attend the service may go to Danny’s online obituary at www.paquelet.com and click on the Webcast Live button to watch the service at 1:00 pm.
