Daniel Garza

Daniel Garza, aged 68, of Fremont, Ohio, was called to the Lord on December 7, 2025. He was born to Hilario and Aurora (Sanchez) Garza on August 21, 1957, in Port Huron, MI. Daniel, lovingly known as Danny, was a person full of vibrant energy and an infectious love for life.

Danny graduated from Fremont Ross High School in 1975. He married Mary Lopez on April 10, 1982 and she survives. He spent 55 years in Fremont, where he was a dedicated laborer at the Fremont Foundry. His diligent work ethic saw him through more than two decades of service before he retired in December of 1996. His retirement years were colored by his love for traveling back to Michigan, spending treasured moments with his family, and engaging in Mexican dancing, an activity that brought him immense joy. He enjoyed telling jokes and laughing.

He is survived by his children, Angie (Danny Sanchez) Montgomery of Fremont, OH, Rachel (Donny Roberts) Silva of Fremont, OH, Veronica (Nicholas Palomo) Lopez of Fremont, OH, and Daniel (Lindsey) Garza of Louisville, KY and Daniel Garza, Jr., Fremont, OH along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his brothers, Larry (Shannon Schaffer) Garza, Ralph (Joanna) Garza, David Garza, Robert (Janie) Garza, Leon Garza, Richard (Lois) Garza, Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Hilario Garza and Aurora Amador, his step-father Alberto Amador, his children Andrew Lopez and Annabel Garza, and his brothers Ray Rodela and Arturo Garza.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025, from 4:00 p.m- 7:00 p.m. at the Auxter-Recker Funeral Home, located at 218 South Main Street, Clyde, OH. A rosary service will be conducted at 6:45 p.m. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 609 Vine Street, Clyde, OH. Following the service, memorial contributions in honor of Daniel Garza may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church.
