Age 74, of North Oaks, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2026, after a 12-year battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Danny Pat grew up in Como Park with his seven siblings and many cousins. He joined the Army after high school, serving in Germany for many years, where he immersed himself in the German culture and language. He married and welcomed his son, Brian, in 1980. Danny later moved back to Minnesota and began a career in truck driving. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 2014. He enjoyed listening to rock music, playing hockey, riding his bike, and loved watching NASCAR and stock car racing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Dee Gibbons; brothers, Duffy and Kelly Gibbons; and sister-in-law, Wanda.

He is survived by his son, Brian; siblings, Mike, Tim (Sky Lyn), Colleen (Caroll) Hecklinger, Brigid (Dwayne) North, and Andy; sisters-in-law, Sally and Kathy Jo Gibbons; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 10, at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home – Roseville Chapel, 2130 North Dale Street at County Road B. Visitation from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m., with a luncheon to follow.

Interment with full military honors at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, 7601 34th Ave. So., Minneapolis at 10:00 am on Monday, January 12 (Assembly Area #2). Please, do not enter the cemetery through the main gate. Please enter through Gate #2 and proceed directly to Assembly Area #2 by 9:45 am.
