HOLY CROSS, IOWA
Daniel T. Goerdt, 64, of Holy Cross, Iowa passed away Friday, November 10, 2023, at Mercy One Hospital in Dubuque.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 – 11 a.m., Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Holy Cross, Iowa. Funeral Mass will commence at 11 a.m. on Wednesday. Inurnment will be held at a later date. Rev. Tyler Raymond will officiate.
Daniel was born on June 6, 1959, in Dubuque, Iowa, the son of Richard and Lois (Leliefeld) Goerdt. He graduated from Western Dubuque High School in 1977. He worked construction for many years, and recently delivered the Telegraph Herald newspaper in the Guttenberg area.
Survivors include his mother, Lois; siblings: Julie (Ken) White of Colesburg, Richard Goerdt of New Vienna, Randy Goerdt of Holy Cross, Keith (Polly) Goerdt of Farley, many nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog, Joe.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard in 2010; sister-in-law, Susie Goerdt.

We lived far away so we're not able to have much of a relationship, but I do remember when we had reunions, etc., I remember most all the guys running around doing their thing. Seems there was always smiles and laughter..
