Allan Wayne Carr, 74, of Monmouth, Iowa, died peacefully on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at home.

Allan was born on November 12, 1951, in Dubuque, Iowa, to Harold and Mary (Ralston) Carr. He graduated from Western Dubuque High School with the Class of 1969. Allan married Carol Hute on February 15, 1984, in Dubuque.

Allan was a lifelong construction worker, proudly self-employed for the last 20 years. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved going fishing whenever possible. He could also be found in his garden and hunting for mushrooms. Allan loved spending time with his family most of all, especially "The Girls" and his grandchildren.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife Carol Carr of Monmouth; daughters, Penny (Doug) McCoy of Durant, IA, and Nichole McCoy of Walcott, IA; grandchildren Kiara, Aydin, Emma, Corbin, Hunter, and Allie; stepchildren Rick (Cindy) Carr of Burleson, TX, LeeAnn Clark of Cascade, IA, and Connie Carr of Shullsburg, WI; sisters Carla (Donald) Clark and Dixie Bruns, both of Monmouth, IA; brother Edward Carr of HI; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Mary Carr, stepsons Jimmy and David Carr, sisters Sharon Foulks, Lois Hanson, Marilee Lucas, Jane Miller, Linda Carr, Karen Wenthe, and Cathy Miller, and brothers Doug, Dale, Ronnie, Thomas, Jim and Jack Carr.

At Peace Cremation Services have been provided by Carson Celebration of Life Center, Maquoketa, IA. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
